OPEN CALL - Small Town America
America's small towns are the true heart of America. Maybe it's a reminder of a simpler time that seems closer and closer to being lost to us. From middle American farms to coastal fishing villages and everywhere in between, these are the places where we were born, and where many of us still call home. Whether it's the aged architecture or the charm of the small communities, it can make for a beautiful subject or backdrop. This is your chance to document those small towns and have your photographs in an upcoming Wheeler Creek book focusing on any and all aspects of small town America.
All photographs must be original from the submitting photographer, and taken within the past 15 years. Of the total submissions from all entrants, up to 10 photographers will be selected as FEATURED PHOTOGRAPHERS and will have a multi-page special profile in the book. Wheeler Creek invites photographers working in all styles and schools of thought to participate. We will accept high resolution digital submissions only. All analog photographs must be transferred and submitted digitally.

Email your photographs to book@wheelercreekmedia.com in jpeg format: 300 dpi, longest side no more than 3600 pixels. Name each file with your name and the corresponding number from the entry information below, for example: smith_bob_1.jpg. List the information requested below in a Microsoft Word document. Attach your photographs and info, and email to admin@wheelercreekmedia.com. Provide the following information for each image submitted:

INFORMATION FOR SUBMITTING PHOTOGRAPHERS
Selected photographers will be posted online at www.wheelercreekmedia.com. Photographers sumbitting can check this information for the list of names of those selected for inclusion in the upcoming publication on or after Aug. 20, 2021. Not all photographers who enter the Open Calls will be selected for the publication, and photographers who are selected may not have all individual images chosen to be included in the publication. All submission fees are considered an entry fee for consideration for the publication and are non-refundable. By submitting your photos and paying the submission fee, you confirm the photographs were taken by you, and you give all rights to Wheeler Creek Media to print, and otherwise reproduce the photographs for inclusion in this publication and future Wheeler Creek Media publications including, but not limited to, compilation collections and other publications that may be sold for profit. You understand that at no time shall you be paid, re-imbursed, compensated, given a free publication, or given royalties, now or at any point in the future by Wheeler Creek Media.
